Herbal Tea Gardening 101
$35.00

Explore the world of herbal tea from your very own garden! This class makes growing your own herbal tea simple and easy. Whether you want to relieve stress, improve health, or simply enjoy a delicious cup of tea, you will learn the basics of starting and maintaining your own tea garden in our local Connecticut climate.  Students will walk away with all the basics needed, knowledge of the various types of herbs that make good tea, as well as tips and tricks for blending and brewing tea from both fresh and dried herbs. Everyone will also have the chance to try blending and brewing teas with herbs during the class.

Herbal Tea Gardening 102: Beyond the Basics
$70.00

Elevate your homegrown infusions with this advanced follow-up to the foundational HTG 101 course. Designed for enthusiasts ready to move beyond basic garden herbs, this class dives into specialized ingredients, expanding their tea garden, and the art of tea blending.

Over the two sessions, we will explore the palette with unique flavors from garden flowers, fruits, culinary herbs and natural additives. Beyond the brew, we will discuss advanced garden management—focusing on cultivation, propagation, soil health, and precision harvesting to hit the "maximum fragrance" window. Students will also transition from single-ingredient steeps to "the perfect pour" by learning about and experimenting with various tea blending techniques.

Students should have attended Herbal Tea Gardening 101 before taking this class.

Work Smarter, Garden Longer: Ergonomics for Gardeners
$30.00

Whether you are tending a lush herb garden or maintaining a perennial landscape, your physical well-being is the most important tool you own. This course is designed to help gardeners of all skill levels enjoy their hobby with less pain and greater longevity by applying the principles of ergonomics to the backyard.

Through a blend of practical demonstrations and evidence-based techniques, we will explore how to work with your body rather than against it. Participants will learn how to identify common strain patterns and implement modifications that make gardening more accessible and sustainable. This class is ideal for anyone looking to reduce the "day-after" aches and pains of gardening, as well as those navigating physical limitations who want to continue their passion for planting safely and comfortably.

Liz Garypie & Bill Giannetto

Hi, we’re Liz & Bill.

Hi, we’re Liz Garypie and Bill Giannetto, the team behind Crafting CreativiTea. Based in Milford, CT, our journey began with Liz’s passion for herbs and tea—inspired by her international travels—which grew into over a decade of cultivating culinary herbs and establishing her first tea garden in 2018. Today, Liz crafts custom herbal tea blends and shares her knowledge through personalized instruction, group workshops, and custom events, while utilizing her perennial garden to fuel Bill's kitchen innovations. Bill’s involvement started by applying his Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) expertise to design ergonomic gardening modifications for Liz, and he now serves as a co-instructor for our gardening ergonomics classes. When he isn't teaching, Bill works as the EH&S Coordinator at Hampford Research, Inc., managing employee safety, environmental compliance, and waste management by combining his engineering and operational background with a deep passion for safety and sustainability.
